Constitutional objectives and charitable purposes updated

Updates to our charitable aims get regulatory approval!

The Boleskine House Foundation has sought ways in which it can help with Covid-19 relief in the UK. With lockdown measures finally easing, we intend on holding events that will assist these efforts.

When the Boleskine House Foundation SCIO was incorporated in 2019 it established two charitable purposes:

  1. The restoration and preservation of the Boleskine House estate; and
  1. To advance the education of the public in the subject of local Scottish history, with particular emphasis on the Boleskine House estate.

We are delighted to announce that as of 28 April, the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator has approved Member and Trustee wishes to add to our charitable aims:

(c) To provide recreational activities with the object of improving the overall conditions of life for the public benefit.

With the addition of these charitable aims in our constitution, this provides The Boleskine House Foundation a wide array of options to be of the public benefit locally and to visiting tourists, which we hope will bring enjoyment into the heritage sector and help improve the overall quality of life for those who visit the estate. Over the coming months and years we therefore look forward to continuing our charitable work and to add a number of recreational activities to the list of work being undertaken at Boleskine House.
